Earth Day Celebration: Clothing Swap, Climate Talks, Vegan Eats
🌍 Celebrate Earth Month with us in the heart of NYC at Pier 57, on April 20, from 1-4 PM! Discover sustainable choices at our clothing swap, connect with climate enthusiasts through meaningful discussions, and enjoy delicious vegan treats. Veggie Mijas is a non-profit collective advocating for food & enviromental justice in BIPOC spaces. We're joining forces with Climate Café, Black Girl Environmentalist, Remake, Reclypt, Worn Not Torn, and We Are Atlas, bringing together expertise and passion from across the spectrum of sustainability and environmental activism.
Event Highlights:
👕👗 Clothing Swap: Refresh your wardrobe and renew your commitment to our planet at our Clothing Swap, located in the living room area. Bring up to 5 items of clothing or shoes in good condition to swap and share.
☕💬Climate Café Conversations: At 2:30 PM, join us in the living room section (behind the market) for discussions on sustainability, climate action, and the impact of even the smallest steps toward a healthier planet.
🌱🍪Vegan Market Delights: Continuing to show love for our planet with every bite - Check out Local Roots for some amazing vegan options, including the special Garden Cookie made with black sesame and matcha icing. Plus, there's more to explore like their hearty mapo tofu, crispy scallion pancakes, and cucumber salad.
