Workshop: Writing Middle Grade Fantasy with Manon Doucet
Writing Middle Grade Fantasy can be challenging—especially when it comes to capturing that perfect balance of whimsy and wonder that young readers crave.
In this session, we'll focus on crafting magical stories using Sudowrite's suite of tools. You'll learn how to use the Brainstorm tool to generate unique magical objects, leverage the Outline tool to structure your story, and make the best use of timed writing sprints to bring your ideas to life. We'll specifically cover creating engaging magical mishaps, developing quirky scenarios, and maintaining the fast pace that middle-grade readers expect.
This session will combine hands-on writing time with tool instruction, and you'll leave with a complete magical short story and a stronger grasp of middle-grade fantasy mechanics.
This session will be led by: Manon Doucet
