About Event

🚀 Join Seoul’s biggest international hackathon in 2025, where students, young professionals, and industry leaders come together to shape the future of responsible AI development.

🔹 What's This Event About?

The Students @ AI Seoul Hackathon is a student-led initiative that gathers 100 students from top global and Korean universities dedicated to shaping the future of responsible AI development. The two-day event invites participants to tackle challenges in education, workspace, civic engagement, and more while gaining insights from industry leaders and mentors and engaging in meaningful discussions.

Join us for hacking, engaging sessions, and networking to shape AI’s future!

📅 When & Where?

  • Date: April 12-13, 2025 (Onboarding on April 5)

  • Location: AWS HQ | 676 Yeoksam-dong Gangnam-gu & Elice Lab | 280 Seongsu-dong 2(i)-ga Seongdong-gu

👥 Who’s This For?

Undergraduate, graduate, and exchange students in Korea, along with young professionals passionate about responsible AI use. Limited to 100 participants. Registration closes on March 31st, and selected participants are announced on April 1st.

Note: Participants sign up as individuals or teams (3-5 people), indicating their sector preference and relevant merits. A total of 100 individuals will be carefully chosen. The selected participants will join on onboarding day, where they will begin forming teams. Team participants may call for additional members during onboarding day. Once teams are finalized, they will start working on ideation until the official sprint begins.

Note: Onboarding Day can be attended online. If online attendance is not possible, a video recording will be provided.

April 6th (Sun) - April 11 (Fri): Team Building & Ideation (Online) 

Participants will build teams on Glimpse and onboard on AWS’s slack channel. Mentors will hold online mentoring sessions to provide feedback on the direction of the projects.

📝 About the Hosts

AI Consensus is a student organization at Minerva University and is sponsored by the RT Youth Power Fund, including organizations such as the Omidyar Network and the Archwell Foundation.

Some of our previous accomplishments include:

  • Hosting multiple workshops for over 150 students, educators, and stakeholders in San Francisco and India to develop consensus and learn from each other.

  • Working with Minerva University to develop the school’s AI policy and AI handbook.

  • ​Organizing a hackathon for use cases of AI in student learning, which reached over 450 participants and received over 150 submissions.

  • Hosting a Students @AI event in Taipei focused on exploring AI's impact on education.
