Photo Books
$150.00 | 10AM-4PM | All materials included
Digital cameras and smartphones have replaced film, but how do you store and share your most favorite images in unique and enduring ways? Whether you’re a photographer or artist who wants to make a unique print portfolio or someone who wants to create a special physical keepsake with some of your memories, in this workshop you’ll learn a variety of structures to showcase photographs, building on a simple folded structure that presents several possibilities for showcasing images, including a traditional photo album.
Fold, glue, and assemble your albums using acid-free materials and decorative papers, and find out more about how you can utilize digital and analog techniques for adding your photographs. You’ll leave with four finished handmade books or models and lots of ideas for how to showcase your photographs outside of your phone and instagram page.
Feel free to bring printed photographs on photo paper to incorporate into your books!
No prior experience is necessary, and all materials are included. Appropriate for ages 14 and up. Sonia will use her teaching experiences accumulated for over a decade to make accessible the materials, tools, and techniques you'll use to bring everything together into four handmade models to take home.
