Community Pride Month Event: Outdoor Drawing Club
One of the easiest ways to live more creatively every single day is to use something that is (almost) always available… paper & pencil. Since the dawn of time, humans have been creatively mark making for both purpose and pleasure, but we know how hard it can be to pick a that colored pencil back up (enter: drawing club).
At drawing club, we’ll collectively leave our drawing baggage, perfectionism and inner critics at the door— embracing a spirit of exploration and play through color, together.
This month's donation based event is for the LGBTQ+ community!! We'll gather in the park and explore drawing as a means of exploration, moving through different prompts with a focus on play and letting your creativity loose in good company.
Drawers of all skill levels, professions and backgrounds are welcome here, and will find a breath of fresh air in the opportunity to experiment and play alongside other creative-minded folk. But please note, this is not a drawing class!
All materials included, but feel free to bring your own sketchbook or dry art materials!
We'll be meeting in Fort Green park! We'll have some blankets but please feel free to bring your own and/or a park chair. It will be a perfect night spent creating alongside other cool humans. See you there!!
Exact meeting point will be sent out the week of, and in the case of inclement weather (or the possibility of it), we'll be in the studio!
What can I expect from a club at RecCreate?
We design all of our clubs at RecCreate to feel like going over to a friends apartment for a craft hang where they took care of grabbing all the materials and show you the basics before the music starts bumping! Our emphasis is on process, play and community building, with conversation prompts throughout.
Cancelation Policy
Unfortunately for this event tickets are non-refundable/exchange-able! Please double check your calendar. In the event you are no longer able to make it, you are welcome to give your ticket to a friend or swap it on our ticket swap board. Just tell them to use your name!

Though we do our best to keep all photography / video to a minimum, please note all guests who attend consent to being photographed and videoed which may be used for marketing or promotional purposes at the discretion of RecCreate Collective.
Age Restriction & Dogs
All guests must be 18+ to attend and though we love your pups, unfortunately cannot have them in the studio!
