Innovation in an Ocean World
Innovators pitch solutions. End users pitch challenges
Hosted by UN Ocean Decade Technology & Innovation Working Group, Schmidt Ocean Institute, Schmidt Marine Technology Partners
Technology is evolving at an exponential rate and has the potential to address many challenges in the ocean world.
This event, organized under the auspices of the UN Ocean Decade Technology and Innovation Working Group, will comprise a series of technology and innovation pitches and reverse pitches, aligned with the thematic topics of addressing key ocean challenges including pollution, observing and prediction, ecosystem restoration and protection, fisheries and food security, a sustainable ocean economy, the climate nexus, and coastal resilience.
Pitches from technology providers will include startups, corporations, and research labs. Reverse pitches from end users will highlight their challenges and indicate why current solutions do not meet their needs.
