​A training on how to advocate for legislative and budget priorities at the State House

​Join this training to learn about ways to advocate for your legislative and budget priorities at the state and local level. The training will feature the "8 Steps to Recruiting Allies" which is an interactive role-playing activity used to prepare advocates for meetings with lawmakers. The training will also provide a basic review of important state legislative budget calendars and best practices for building stronger relationships with your state lawmakers.

​Presenter: Geoff Foster, Common Cause Massachusetts

​Geoff Foster (he/him) is the Executive Director of Common Cause Massachusetts, a 50-year-old organization working to make democracy more equitable and accessible. Geoff is a community organizer and youth worker with over 16 years' experience in Massachusetts state policy, advocacy, and civic engagement.
