​What does it take to transition from postdoc or staff scientist to principal investigator, and how do you lead a lab in a way that supports both great science and great people? Join us for a roundtable discussion with Dr. Megan Spurgeon, Morgridge PI and expert in tumor virology and cancer biology, as she shares her journey to becoming a faculty leader. We’ll talk about the transition from postdoc/staff life to running a lab, including applying for funding, building a research team, and developing a leadership style grounded in mentorship, collaboration, and scientific rigor.
