Scrappy Pen Pals: a Collage Workshop
Do you miss writing letters to your pals (or yourself)? Do you like collaging? Let's do both at Scrappy Pen Pals—a workshop where you'll learn about collage techniques as you create a collaged letter to yourself or a friend.
Instructor Valeria loves working with recycled scraps or "junk" to collage. In this session, our collage tips will focus on turning these scraps into art! We will go over helpful tips & tricks, discuss layering, and go over how to pick and assemble materials with intention and care.
By the end of the event, you will have a unique letter ready to be sent out in the mail.
Not interested in mailing it out? That’s fine! We also encourage writing letters to your past or future self, to a friend across the room, to the universe, etc. It’s all about creating something meaningful and speaking out your truth. Frame it, stick in onto your journal, keep it in your drawer, it’s up to you!
