Finding My Place in Information Architecture: A Personal and Professional Journey
About the event
Grace’s talk focuses on information architecture (IA), a field she discovered through building a website for a high school class. She discusses IA's core principles of structuring and organizing information for findability and understanding using relatable examples like organizing a kitchen. This talk will follow Grace through her career journey from library and information studies to IA, highlighting the importance of mentorship and the evolution of the field. She'll share insights from her work with the World IA Association and World IA Day, emphasizing the importance of building a global community around this often-invisible but crucial field.
