Learn to safely lose weight & manage bodyweight

When New Year’s comes around, about 1 in 3 people start diets in a bid to lose weight. These diets can be extreme, lacking in essential nutrients, focus on excluding foods, and ultimately leave a person feeling deprived and downright miserable. 

It’s therefore not a shock to learn that;

  • 90% of people who start a diet, give up their new year diet within just 12 days.

  • 83% of people who start diets gain back more weight than they lost.

Fad diets are dangerous causing harm to our mental, physical and social health. 

Therefore, I would like to offer some advice on how to approach it more safely this year, and perhaps pull some of you away from fads towards science.  

However, this isn’t for everyone. The mere mention of weight loss diets can trigger people in unhealthy ways. If this is triggering for you, then please do not join in.
