Mining & Critical Minerals Cocktail Reception: Meet BC’s Next Generation of Innovators
Mining & Critical Minerals Web Summit Side Event is an opportunity to learn what is driving BC’s Energy sector to global impact. Our natural resources sector has never been more vulnerable, from the turmoil of global markets combined with the needs of industry, the fragility of our biodiversity system, to the urgent infrastructure required to accelerate the adoption of new technologies. This event will highlight the prolific research transforming the mining sector through BRIMM and Rio Tinto Centre for Future Materials; the Berlingette Research Group at UBC building technologies to accelerate decarbonization (and the spinouts being created); Genome BC supporting the development of solutions that are helping us better understand the genomic impact on mine sites; and so much more! This event will be an exciting look at the future of energy sector innovations.
Attendees will be treated to a showcase of leading-edge research, startups emerging from academia, along with the ecosystem collaborators helping to accelerate bringing these transformative innovations to market.
Thank you to our partners across the UBC network and Genome BC for their support.
