About Event

Local cookware company Proclamation Goods plans to celebrate 4/20 with a twist on pot amnesty: swing by Thursday, Friday, or Saturday, when the brand’s Mission district shop will accept any and all used pots and pans lingering in the back of consumer cupboards for 20% off any purchase in-store.

That includes the company’s 3x award-winning flagship stainless steel set, The Proclamation Duo, dinner party supplies, hand-crafted goods from local makers, and eco-friendly home essentials.

Not sure what to do about each scratched non-stick skillet or starter set gathering dust? Proclamation Goods wants to transform your haul of outgrown cookware into a one-way ticket to a more sustainable, lifelong upgrade. Once the haze clears off Dolores Park, partner organization LiquiDonate will place quality donations at nonprofit organizations across the state.

“Most brands want to sell you mega-sets you don’t need or cheaply manufactured products meant to be replaced every few years,” says Proclamation Goods CEO Chris Burrage. “All that stuff either takes up space you could be using, or winds up in a landfill. We want to build a culture that changes the way people cook and live in their homes, mostly by breaking that cycle and having access to better options.”

“Who knew I’d have to become a pot dealer to make it happen,” he adds.

Billed as the “last cookware you’ll ever need,” the Proclamation Duo is a pledge against the planned obsolescence that plagues the cookware world. Featuring a 12” skillet, 7-quart pot, and a lid to fit both, the design enables customers to “cook more, with less,” tackling most cooking methods without any additional clutter. Each piece is induction-compatible, dishwasher safe, and made in the USA.
