About Event

In the living room, UX Researcher Vinita will talk about her experience in accessibility and how she leveraged it to land a role that aligns with her goals. She will also provide insights on how to get started with accessibility research and how these steps can help you become an advocate for ALL users!

About Vinita Tibdewal

Vinita is a User Experience Researcher at Google. She did her bachelors in computer science and while working as a software engineer, got introduced to UX. She decided to take formal education in the field and pursued masters in HCI from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). At RIT, she got involved in accessibility research and with that experience, joined the Central Accessibility team at Google on a contract UX Research role.

She recently joined the Cloud Conversational AI team as a solo UX researcher on speech-to-text and text-to speech cloud APIs which is the underlying technology for many accessibility products, thus continuing her journey as an ally! In her past time, she loves playing board games and table tennis and is always up for exploring new cafes and restaurants in the area!
