About Event

I was homeschooled for 10 years (from 3rd grade through high school) before getting into college and graduate school (UIUC/Stanford Computer Science). Along the way, I explored my interests, developed real skills, and worked on passion projects that shaped my learning—without following a traditional school path.

After hearing from so many parents about how to help their kids do the same, I’m hosting a panel with a friend—who was also homeschooled and got into MIT/Stanford—to share our experiences. We’ll talk about:

  • How to help students explore their interests & develop real skills

  • Turning passions into meaningful projects (research, startups, non-profits, and more)

  • How project-based learning helped us stand out in college admissions

  • How homeschoolers can craft a unique and compelling application story

This will be an interactive session where we’ll share our insights and take audience questions. If you’re a parent or homeschooler looking for inspiration, guidance, or just real stories from students who’ve been through this path, we’d love to have you join!
