Analytics Beach Tennis Social with LA #TechWeek
Come meet other analytics leaders in LA over friendly games of Beach Tennis in Santa Monica. Or simply join to socialize on the beach and enjoy a beautiful sunset.
We'll have a group get together at the beginning to share a bit about each other, teach you the rules for beach tennis (similar to regular tennis without letting the ball bounce), and have open play afterwards. All levels are welcome - beach tennis is easy to pick up and fun for everyone.
Non-alc drinks and light snacks will be provided.
Who should join?
Analytics professionals with 4+ years of professional experience working in startups or tech. Data engineers, business analysts, analytics engineers, and data scientists are all welcome to join!
What is Beach Tennis?
Beach Tennis is a combination of familiar sports reimagined for the sand. Players use paddles to hit a tennis ball back and forth over a net and within the court boundary. Like badminton and volleyball, the point is over when the ball hits the ground.
Originated as a beach fix for Italian tennis players on vacation in the 1970s, Beach Tennis has traveled the globe introducing the fun flow of the game to everyone from Rio de Janeiro to Los Angeles to Barcelona and all the beaches between.
Your hosts:
We're analytics professionals by trade, racket sports enthusiasts, and local community builders in LA. Between us we also host a weekly hike club on the westside, an annual music festival, various community building events, and regular beach tennis events.
