About the Artist: Aggie Armstrong
Aggie Armstrong is a dynamic multimedia artist whose work explores the layered experiences of female consciousness. Her diverse upbringing continues to inspire the themes she explores, especially in relation to memory, identity, and the female experience.
In her creative practice, she is heavily influenced by her upbringing as a Third Culture Individual— a person who has spent a significant part of their formative years in a culture different from their parents’. This cross-cultural experience has greatly shaped her identity and creative voice, which she expresses through bold compositions, vivid colors, and intricate hand-stitched embroidery. Her work is both a personal reflection and an exploration of broader themes like identity, belonging, and the intersectional female experience.
