MEET OUR PANEL:
Environmental Engineering Associate, LA Sanitation & Environment
Carolina Corona is a passionate environmentalist with over 2 years of experience in LASAN's Solid Resources Citywide Recycling Division. Carolina supports the Citywide E-waste Recycling Program and the SAFE Center Collection Program. These programs provide residents of the City and County of Los Angeles opportunities to safely dispose of their household hazardous waste and electronic waste. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Environmental Engineering and a minor in Regenerative Studies from Cal Poly Pomona.
In addition to her technical skills, Carolina is a strong advocate for continuous learning and enjoys personal and professional development opportunities. When she’s not engineering, you can find her running, hiking, or exploring new travel destinations.
CFO, ReJoule
Zora is the co-founder and CFO of ReJoule, a battery diagnostics and optimization company focused on maximizing the value of electric vehicle batteries. With a background in finance and strategy, she has helped ReJoule secure over $25 million in grants and bring in major automakers as customers. She is passionate about advancing the circular economy so we can get more out of our existing resources!
Homeboy Electronics Recycling
Lori has worked in the waste recycling industry since 1990's; first for industrial paper recycling packers, then moved into secure document destruction and electronics recycling. In 2008, making the switch from the corporate world to the non-profit and B-Corp world has been an eye-opener to the many good things business can do and options to operate profitably. The social enterprise world makes working even more meaningful
