By RSVP'ing to this event, participants acknowledge that working with hardware involves inherent risks, including but not limited to: physical injury from mechanical parts and tools, electrical hazards from electronic components, burns from soldering equipment, eye strain from small components, and exposure to workshop materials and adhesives. Microbots Hackathon organizers are not responsible for any claims related to damage, loss, or injury to person or property. We expect all attendees to comply with safety protocols and agree to be in event photographs and media that will be shared online, unless requested not to
NOTE: There is a mandatory 3-hour pre-hackathon event on Thursday, November 14th, before the main hackathon. Since this is a hardware hackathon, it's important to plan ahead. During this event, you'll need to decide on your project idea so you can order any necessary hardware (e.g., from Amazon) that evening. This ensures your components will arrive in time for the hackathon on Saturday, so you'll have everything you need to work on your project.
After watching Carl Bugeja's new video:
I want everyone to make their own microbots. Its as easy as programming an Arduino. We will supply the CodeCell boards, 3D printers, soldering stations, and a bunch of hardware so you can just show up and make fun little robots that you get to keep!
Prizes:
1st: 2x Bambu Labs A1 Mini 3D Printers
2nd: 1x Bambu Labs A1 Mini 3D Printer
3rd: 1x Bambu Labs A1 Mini 3D Printer
My motivation for this is to make the future of robotics look like this:
And not just humanoid robots. You can read more on the "Thesis" tab of https://bracket.bot/.
