W25 Hacker Fab Kick-Off
TL;DR
If you’re interested in being part of the Waterloo Hacker Fab swing by for our term kick-off.
It will be a quick meeting highlighting what we’re up to and how to get involved, followed by a lab tour for those interested (live plasma tests promised)
About the Waterloo Hacker Fab
We’re a low-cost, open-source chip fab at the University of Waterloo working on democratizing semiconductor knowledge as part of the hackerfab.org mission.
We’ve operated as a design team for the past eight months, developing tools including:
Maskless Lithography
XYZ Stage
Tube Furnace
Sputtering Chamber
The team is full of super ambitious engineering students from various disciplines and with all levels of experience.
Our ultimate goal for this upcoming term is to develop MOSCAPs and (hopefully) MOSFETs.
