​About the Waterloo Hacker Fab

​We’re a low-cost, open-source chip fab at the University of Waterloo working on democratizing semiconductor knowledge as part of the hackerfab.org mission.

​We’ve operated as a design team for the past eight months, developing tools including:

• ​Maskless Lithography

• ​XYZ Stage

• ​Tube Furnace

• ​Sputtering Chamber

​The team is full of super ambitious engineering students from various disciplines and with all levels of experience.

​Our ultimate goal for this upcoming term is to develop MOSCAPs and (hopefully) MOSFETs.
