ββπ¬ About the Talk
β"In this talk, I will take you on a tour of my varied experiences designing and building data visualizations starting out as an academic in cancer research, then working in big tech, and now in my own freelance practice. Iβll go deep into three very different projects to share details of my design process, give you concrete examples of what a data visualization practitioner actually does, and illustrate both the joys and limitations of each work environment. Through stories of my professional pivots, Iβll share what Iβve learned along the way."
