Dave is the author of Reignition (Inc. Originals Press, April 2024), a practical and deeply-researched playbook for helping startups and growth companies get “unstuck” and find their breakaway path. He is a general partner at Metamorph Partners, was the founding CEO of Jive Software (NASDAQ IPO in 2011), served as a board partner at Andreessen Horowitz, and has advised hundreds of startups over three decades.

Gordon embarked on his career on the infamous "Black Monday" of October 19th, 1987, as part of the Merrill Lynch training program in New York City. Over the next decade, he honed his skills in equity trading on Wall St. before making a pivotal move to San Francisco. In the past 26 years in the Bay Area, Gordon shifted his focus to advising wealthy Individuals and Family Offices in private technology company investments. Co-founding OPAC alongside Jim Kozak and Dr. Gordon Rausser, Gordon has dedicated his efforts to identifying and pursuing direct investment opportunities aligned with the preferences of his Individual and Family Office Investor Network. His expertise lies in deal structuring and providing governance at the Board level. Throughout his career, Gordon has held, or currently holds, Director or Observer seats on the Boards of notable companies such as Liquidspace, Task Rabbit, Amaze, Revel Systems, Werqwise, Swyft, Sunbasket, Linqia, Connected Data, Sellpoints, and Knowi.
