Amplitude Experiment Office Hours - Experiment 101
Experiments can feel overwhelming—what to test, how to design it, and how to know if the results are trustworthy. In this session, we’ll strip it down to the essentials.
Eric Metelka, Director of Technical Product Management for Experiment at Amplitude will walk you through:
How to frame experimentation so it actually answers product questions
The key building blocks of a reliable experiment
A live example of how to design and run an experiment inside Amplitude
It’s a chance to see not just why experimentation matters, but how to execute it in practice—without getting lost in statistical jargon.
Bring your questions, half-baked test ideas, or confusing past results. Eric will help you sort through them live.
Meet the Speaker
Eric has spent years helping product teams build experimentation into their decision-making. Before joining Amplitude, he was Head of Product at Eppo, where he scaled experimentation practices for data-driven companies.
Today, he partners closely with Amplitude customers, sales teams, and the community, showing teams how to move from “we should test this” to running experiments that actually drive growth.
