About Headway
Headway is the nation’s largest network of therapists and psychiatrists who actively take insurance through its technology platform. The company was founded under the hypothesis that if we make it easy for providers to accept insurance, they will. Today, Headway has proven this to be true, with a network of more than 20,000 high-quality credentialed mental health providers across race, gender, ethnicity and specialty who deliver care through Headway. Patients can either schedule care within 48 hours via one-click booking, or can get care through a referral from the broader care ecosystem. Headway’s single proprietary tech platform enables measurement-based quality care and generates first-in-kind mental health insights, which enable value-based payments. The company currently operates in 17 states and the District of Columbia, and has received venture funding from top investors, including Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), Accel, Thrive Capital, and GV (formerly Google Ventures).
