Casual chat about AI coding tools
I've been using Claude Code (and some other AI coding tools) a lot lately, and would love to chat with you about them: what you use AI coding tools for, challenges, best practices, and what coding will look like in the future.
I want to keep the event small (NOT recorded) so that everyone has time to share their opinions. I'll prioritize folks who are more thoughtful in the questions they want to discuss!
Questions I want to discuss:
How do we spend our time now as engineers with AI coding tools?
Pros and cons of AI coding interfaces (e.g. IDE-based, CLI-based, chat-based, or web-based)?
Who is the most productive with AI coding tools that you know and what makes them so productive?
What are the common error patterns you've seen and what you've done to overcome them? (I'll also share my error patterns, analyzed by Sniffly https://sniffly.dev)
How do we measure the efficiency of AI coding agents? Both engineering hours and LoC are irrelevant for AI because AI is biased toward mass code generation in a short amount of time.
