VC 101: Making the Leap - The Road From Idea to First Customers and PMF
Hello Arizona Tech Ecosystem!
Venture On (AZ's premier tech community) and Freeway (the onramp to PHX's startup ecosystem) are back with another VC 101 event!
This time, we will be hosting a luncheon workshop (sponsored by our friends at J.P. Morgan) that tackles a common issue in underserved venture markets. Our event "Making the Leap: The Road From Idea to First Customers and PMF" will take place on May 22nd at the Galvanize in Phoenix.
At this workshop, we will go over the key elements founders need to focus on when transitioning from an idea and product to traction with initial customers and beyond.
We will have investors, tech founders, and operators (who have done this before) share their knowledge and experience navigating this tricky step in the startup process.
Unlike our community events that have a strict capacity, these events will be more open to the general public to entice and encourage future builders.
Our mission to build a vibrant and modern tech ecosystem here in Phoenix is a team effort, and in order to best serve the tech ecosystem, we believe founders and investors should continue working together to help each other win.
Making The Leap - The Road From Idea to First Customers and PMF:
What: The second VC 101 workshop of the year that helps founders understand the road from idea to first customers and product market fit.
Who: Attendees include any tech founders or future tech founders in Arizona. If there is a seat open in the room, you are welcome in! We want to let current and future builders know that building a vc backable company is possible with the right education, network, and help.
When: Wednesday, May 22ndth // 12:00p.m.-1:30pm.
Where: Galvanize, Phoenix.
You must register to attend this event. Reason being is that we want to keep a headcount of the number of seats available in the room, as there is limited seating.
Other: We will also be providing attendees with take-home materials and tools of the content after the workshop, so attendees leave with something tangible from which they can work from. Future workshops will have different VC 101 focus areas and take-home materials. Our aim is to round out the knowledge of AZ founders with an end-to-end understanding of the venture capital and startup culture, etiquette, best practices, community, and more.
Venture On is led by AZ native and startup Chief of Staff, Josue Romero.
