Saturday Summer Retreat: Exclusive Gov. Island Tour and Networking Event
Join the Climate Designers New York City Chapter for an extraordinary Saturday Summer Retreat on June 29th. In partnership with GrowNYC, EarthMatters, and The Bee Conservancy, we are hosting an exclusive tour of the state-of-the-art sustainable facilities on Governors Island. This is a unique opportunity to explore innovative environmental projects and network with passionate sustainability professionals, all while enjoying the breathtaking views of the Downtown New York skyline.
Event Highlights:
3:00 PM - Tour of GrowNYC: Begin with an insightful tour of GrowNYC’s facilities, where you’ll learn about their impactful urban agriculture initiatives.
3:20 PM - Tour of The Bee Conservancy: Next, discover the important work of The Bee Conservancy, focusing on pollinator conservation through education, habitat restoration, and community science.
3:40 PM - Tour of Earth Matter: Conclude the tour series with a visit to Earth Matter, exploring their composting and waste reduction efforts.
4:00 PM - Invite-Only Meet and Greet: After the tours, join us for an exclusive meet and greet with the Climate Designers participants at the Urban Farm. Enjoy refreshments while networking with like-minded professionals.
5:30 PM - Event Conclusion: The meet and greet will wrap up by 5:30 PM, and we will depart by 5:45 PM as the south island closes.
