What is Bitcoin Pizza Day?
Fifteen years ago, Bitcoin was used for the first time to buy something in the real world. On May 22, 2010, Laszlo Hanyecz bought two pizzas for 10 thousand Bitcoin. Today, that’s worth over 1 Billion US dollars! Since then, the Bitcoin and tech community have marked May 22nd as the international Bitcoin Pizza Day, where communities around the world come together to celebrate this simple, funny, and important moment in tech history.
