About Event

Who's this for? Freelancers and small business owners working with public sector organisations (local and central government, the NHS etc), and charities. 

Purpose: Come together to support each other, build new connections, encourage collaborative working, find some positives and not lose sight of our wellbeing. 

Hosts 

  • Kate Parsley — Delivers practical solutions to the public sector and charities after 17 years in public health. She is on the BSI Suicide Prevention Committee, is a Trustee of Advance and brings a disability perspective to everything she does.

  • Doug Belshaw — A founding member of We Are Open, a not-for-profit worker co-op of strategists, innovators, and facilitators.

Confirmed guest speakers

  • Aneta Grabiec — Award winning author of 'How to get pregnant', she has helped 1,000s of couples through fertility coaching, and she is a yoga teacher, nutritional therapist and detox specialist. As a wellness specialist her clients have included Bupa and Sony.

  • Denise Johnson-Carr — CEO of Kinergy, a specialist counselling charity supporting survivors of sexual violence. She is Non-Executive Director (NED) of NHS Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board (ICB), and Fitness to Practice panel member of the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).

  • Janinah McKenzie Knowland — Founder of JMK & Co. supporting charities and socially-driven organisations improve how they measure, manage and communicate impact. Her clients include local authorities, the NHS and national charities e.g. YMCA and Cancer Research UK.

  • Matthew Knight — Founder of Leapers which has supported over 250,000 freelancers with their mental health, and he is a member of the Mental Health at Work Leadership Council. As an independent strategist his clients have included Accenture and LEGO.

  • Rachael Lemon — Founder of LemonAid and executive coach for the NHS Leadership Academy she encourages boldness and is an advocate for holistic wellness. Founder and Editor of EmpowHer, a leadership publication for women in healthcare with 2,500 readers.
