Set on the stunning RRU campus—known for its commitment to leadership, sustainability, and lifelong learning—this event will explore the evolving definitions of success and how we can shape our own paths with confidence and intention.

Join us for a dynamic panel discussion featuring an RRU representative and a Master’s student, alongside other influential voices, as we engage in meaningful dialogue about personal and professional growth. This is an opportunity to connect with like-minded leaders, share insights, and gain new perspectives in an inclusive and empowering space.

Meet our speakers

Danielle Smeltzer, Founder, Awarely Embodied Leadership

After over a decade in executive leadership, Awarely Embodied Leadership’s founder, Danielle Smeltzer, saw firsthand how stress and burnout can impact leaders, teams, and organizational progress.

As founder and Chief Capacity Officer, Danielle empowers leaders and teams to build resilience and capacity by blending 15 years of leadership experience with over 500 hours of training in cutting-edge neuroscience, trauma-informed practices, somatics, and mindfulness techniques with actionable business strategies.

Awarely’s capacity-building services include fractional leadership, strategic consulting, executive coaching, disruptive speaking, and custom training.

Shelley Doyle, Social Wealth Strategist, The Communiverse

Shelley Doyle is a Royal Roads University International Master's student, studying for a Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies, with a final thesis exploring the social well-being of remote and hybrid people leaders at one global insurance company.

Professionally, Shelley is a former communications specialist (20 years) who now empowers remote leaders and distributed teams with evidence-based tools and strategies to build and activate their social wealth for sustained social health.

Jennifer Wallinga, Professor Communication & Culture, RRU

Dr. Jennifer Walinga, a former Olympic gold medalist and educator for 30 years, specializes in leadership, communication, and performance strategies. She blends organizational, educational, and sport theories to drive innovation, team dynamics, and workplace health. An award-winning researcher, her work focuses on optimal human performance, women in leadership, and culture-building in sport and business. Walinga has been faculty at Royal Roads University since 2008 and leads Integrated Focus, a consulting firm providing training for individuals and organizations. She is a recognized expert in organizational communication and high-performance leadership.
