Maximum New York May Party & Abundance Politics Accelerator
Come hang out with friends, hear some lightning talks about NYC city/state politics, find collaborators for your own political schemes, and have a good time!
You'll enjoy the company of MNY alumni, people from the abundance movement generally, and other guests.
There will be drinks and snacks!
There will be a short presentation of no more than 10 minutes, and we will go over the following:
The New York City rent regulation system, which oversees about a million housing units. It's the housing that Abundance has yet to fully embrace, and we are in RGB season.
The mayoral charter revision commission (CRC), and their recently released preliminary report. The CRC will put charter amendments directly on our November ballot, and they will be some of the most consequential votes you'll cast in a while.
Other ways to get involved and stay up-to-date with politics in NYC and NYS.

Know before you arrive: This event will be guided by the four rules of etiquette that guide all Maximum New York classes, and is generally for people who mostly agree with The Sensible Seventy.
