Update (August 26th): We are blown away by the interest in our event, and are near-capacity. With our remaining space, we are looking for guests who are active in philanthropy, or are able to deploy philanthropic capital from their foundation or corporation.
Join the Wren team at Union Square Venture's beautiful Library Room for food, drinks, and a fireside chat on the blossoming role of philanthropy in supporting carbon dioxide removal (CDR) solutions.
This event is part of Wren Climate Collective's non-profit mission to fund ambitious CDR innovation with philanthropic capital. Learn more here: https://www.wren.co/collective
CDR funding has surged over the past decade, yet ten companies dominate ~90% of total tons sold, with two-thirds of sales coming from a single corporate buyer, Microsoft, highlighting diversification risks.
We'll discuss how fast, flexible grants from a collective of donors can provide the injection of capital needed to diversify the CDR industry and lift up new technologies capable of scaling to sub-$100 per ton of CO₂ removed.
