About Deborah
Deborah Mills is the CEO of Now Teach. Like many career-switchers into teaching, the seeds of her decision were sown a long time ago, when her own life was changed by her English teacher who encouraged her to apply to Cambridge.
When she left university she didn’t consider teaching, however. Instead she joined the creative, commercial world of advertising and spent much of her professional life working with brands and blue chip companies like Apple, Sony, P&G, Unilever, Mars, IDV and many others.
Before she retrained as a teacher, she had spent 15 years at Saatchi & Saatchi where she ran their largest global business and was responsible for global strategy.
As the CEO of Now Teach, Deborah's mission is to give all young people the very best education, to inspire talented people to bring their experience into education, and to support schools in choosing experienced career changers because of the value they add.
