Workshop: The Art of Pitching: A Hero’s Journey Guide
How do you turn your entire pitch into an engaging and compelling story?
Whether you’re pitching a startup idea or a grant proposal, structuring your pitch using the Hero’s Journey—a proven narrative framework from books and movies—can make it relatable, captivating, and designed for action.
In this workshop, J’HEALEE, Innovation Coach and Tsai CITY Mentor, will guide you through a step-by-step process to craft a pitch that follows this timeless story arc. You'll start by developing a 30-second elevator pitch, then expand it into an effective, action-driven pitch using Dan Roam’s 10-page pitch storyline framework to create a clear and compelling narrative.
The session will also explore the key difference between pitching and other presentations, such as academic presentations, to help you be more intentional with your approach. Additionally, you’ll learn how to stay grounded and present during your pitch—because your inner state influences your audience.
