New York is famous for its bagels. But what about LA - can you find a good bagel here? Is it even possible, or does it defy the laws of physics? It's time to settle the debate once and for all. 🏆
Join us for Battle of the Bagels: A New York in LA Carb Contest 🥯
We'll be serving bagels from five of the most decorated Los Angeles bagel makers, in a blind taste test. At the end, you'll get to vote on your favorite. Who will emerge victorious and be crowned Best Bagel in LA? We need your expert opinion to help to help us choose a winner! 👑
We'll be gathering at a gorgeous private home in Venice, with a large outdoor terrace. We'll have light drinks available (both alcoholic and NA) 🥂 — and all the bagels you can eat.
You get to prepare your bagel the way YOU like it. To toast or not to toast - that's up to you. Cream cheese or lox? Why not both? All your favorite toppings will be available (just be careful not to overload your bagel). And remember to pace yourself so you can try 'em all. 😋
FAQ:
1) "Can non-New Yorkers attend?" Yes, as long as you love bagels and know how to apply a proper schmear, you are welcome to join.
2) "Will there be gluten-free bagels available?" Yes, we will have gluten-free options.
3) "Am I allowed to scoop out my bagel?" Ok, fine, this is LA. Bagel scooping is acceptable, but you may get some gentle teasing.
4) "What if I'm on a low-carb diet?" This event is for you. This city is so hungry because of Goop that they're starving for carbs. Be good to yourself, give your body what it needs.
