Reading Nights—A social event for all things lit 📚
One More chapter is an atypical reading community for modern readers. Read socially, make bookish friends, and engage in literary conversations over drinks and delectables. 🍷
We began, humble and hopeful, in 2024 and built a wonderful community of book lovers. In 2025, we're excited to bring you more creative and unique events.
Join us for our first event of the year at the very cool Seamstress bar as we embrace new beginnings and more books! ✨
What to expect
Bring whatever book you're currently reading for dedicated reading time. All genres welcome 🤗
Connect and share ideas with others 🤩
Rediscover the joy of reading in a relaxed atmosphere.
6:00-6:30pm: Hi's, hello's and time to grab your drink.
6:30-7:15pm: Dedicated reading time in good company.
7:15-8:00pm: Stay for another drink and chat. We always have fun and fresh conversation starters :)
Our reading events are always informal 🙂, so participate in any manner that you like. But we hope you leave with fresh perspectives, book recommendations, and the joy of reading.

Seamstress Restaurant and Bar
113 Lonsdale St, Melbourne VIC 3000
Head upstairs to the Cocktail bar. We'll be at the cozy booths in the back.
Tickets
$20 ( Entry + 1 soft drink )
There will be cocktails and snacks to purchase at the bar.
A little note from the hosts
Our events used to be free because we believe that joy of reading should be accessible to all. But we've got big plans for 2025 and priced tickets are the only way for us to continue organising unique reading experiences for everyone. 🙂
