A new class, “Doing Good: Insights from Economics, Philosophy, and Psychology” (ECON159 / INTL_ST290), will be offered Spring 2025. Overview here. The class will be taught by Dean Karlan, Professor of Economics and Finance, Northwestern University and Chief Economist, USAID.
The class has no prerequisites, counts towards the Foundational Discipline requirement for Social and Behavioral Science, and is aimed at students irrespective of their intention to major in Economics or International Studies.
If you’d like to take this class, please submit a short application to take the class here before Friday January 10th, 2025. Applying early is advantageous, if there is a capacity constraint then date of application will be a factor in allocating spots.
