​Emerging from the launch webinar, a key issue is how corporate decision-makers can successfully champion the case for CVC strategies internally and what CVC best practice looks like.

​A snap survey of attendees held during the first webinar found that 67% of attendees believed that the main reason corporations begin the venture capital journey is to diversify resources and development efforts, while 45% felt that it was to pursue financial returns. The greatest challenge was perceived to be a lack of understanding or appreciation within the company, of the potential that venture capital investments or start-up investments can provide, as a strategy.
