5:30pm - Meet & Greet

6:15pm - Fresk workshop

Join this engaging citizen workshop, like over 1.7 million others have so far!

It allows anyone to dynamically discuss our Western economies’ detrimental impact on climate change in general

The Climate Fresk (or Climate Collage) workshop takes the thick IPCC reports on climate change and translates them into 42 cards that participants organize in the order of cause-to-consequence.

Novices will discover the subject, and experts will deepen and reinforce their knowledge.

The workshop takes about 3 hours. For the first 1.5 hours, participants gather around a table in groups of 4-7, and collaboratively position the 42 cards, thereby building their own 'climate collage'. Participants then take 30 minutes to reflect on their learnings, addressing any complex emotions that may come up. The last hour is dedicated to brainstorming ideas for climate actions that are tailored to each participant's lifestyle, ensuring impactful and relevant solutions.

About our Climate Fresk facilitators:

Kriti and Dorothy are both active Climate Fresk facilitators who share a deep passion for climate change education while encouraging participants to take action.

Kriti is the founder of CocoBean Climate Literacy and also a founding director of the Guelph Climate Action Network. She spreads climate awareness through the Climate Fresk, by facilitating workshops and training new Freskers both professionally and within the community.

Dorothy has been focusing on educational institutions and community Fresks. She facilitates biweekly at The Olde Stone Cottage Pub, 3750 Kingston Rd, Scarborough.
