GovHack 2025: Participate, Shape, Support

​GovHack is Australia’s biggest annual open data hackathon—a national festival of ideas where coders, creatives and curious minds come together to reimagine how public data can serve the public good. This session is for anyone curious about taking part, shaping challenges or supporting others to do the same - whether you're a first-timer, a returning hacker, or someone who wants to support innovation by sponsoring a challenge. 

​Past GovHack winner Felix Barbelet will share what the experience was like firsthand—and why it’s worth jumping in. You’ll also learn how challenges are crafted to spark bold, creative ideas around the GovHack themes of community connection, digital trust and productivity and innovation. At its core, GovHack is a celebration of what becomes possible when open data meets open minds. Come along to connect, get inspired, and explore how you might take part.
