Ajate, a Japanese band founded in 2011 by John Imaeda, dishes out a bold blend of afro-groove, funk, and Ohayashi traditional Japanese music. The ten-strong ensemble has developed a unique sound that includes handmade bamboo instruments, such as the “Jahte” and “Piechiku”, which were designed and named by Imaeda himself. With their spellbinding beats, catchy guitar riffs, and indigenous vocals, the band has conquered the stages of renowned festivals around the world, offering an authentic and unforgettable musical experience!
