About Event

In this conversation, we will discuss practices different teaching groups that are part of the Dark Matter University collective have used to create new collectivized pedagogical models. From the ways in which faculty have come together to develop curriculum in a democratic manner, to gamifying design studios to create collective outcomes, to changes that have been advocated for to foster trans-institutional partnerships. Different sets of instructors will share their experiences, processes, and methodologies and then we will have a conversation. When appropriate, students that were part of these courses have been invited to participate. Join us in this conversation about collectivized curricular change and how it can be applied inside and outside established institutions.

This event will be facilitated by Quilian Riano with presentations and conversations with: Jelisa Blumberg, Nupur Chaudhury, Andrew Chin, Curry Hackett, A.L. Hu, Jenn Low, Rudo Mpisaunga, Thompson Nguyen, Bz Zhang, Jati Zunaibi and other Dark Matter University members.
