More than often, a wide range of skills can often seem like a tick box exercise for graduates applying to practice. It’s important not just to show those skills but understand their place in a professional project.
In this Open Studio graduates with an interest in sustainability driven projects and healthcare architecture are invited to gain feedback on their portfolios and job applications and to network with members of team.
This event is open to architecture students and Part 1 or 2 graduates or other adjacent courses.
Originally founded in 1900, Ansell & Bailey are one of the longest established Practices in the UK and specialise in Healthcare design. Ansell & Bailey is a Chartered Architectural Practice and, member of Architects for Health, and Constructionline. The directors and many of the senior staff members have in excess of 25 years’ experience in the design and delivery of Healthcare projects. We have extensive experience of all methods of procurement and pride ourselves on the long-term relationships that we have with numerous clients.
We have a strong core of staff members with relevant experience in healthcare, mental health, research labs, and community care facilities. Our team is familiar with working on frameworks under various forms of procurement for several London Trusts, some of with whom we have been involved for over twenty years and delivered hundreds of projects. Our vast experience enables us to draw on our knowledge to put together project-specific tailored teams to deliver designs to meet and exceed client expectations. We have wide ranging experience of NHS and private sector healthcare projects.
We have extensive experience across all healthcare departments ranging from simple ward refurbishments to the more technically challenging Imaging, Critical Care, Cancer Care, Emergency Department, Operating Theatres, and Medical research laboratories. We have regularly designed facilities that have been the first of their kind in the UK when we completed such as Cyberknife, Hybrid Theatres & InterOperative MRI’s (IMRI).
About Open Studio
Open Studio is a collaborative workshop series by :scale, designed for architecture students wanting to invest in their personal development, learn creative skills and access mentoring. We aim to connect graduates with practices across London to gain an insight into the professional industry.
