Bhakti Immersion Weekend
Bhakti Immersion Weekend
Saturday 9th & Sunday 10th August 2025 | 3:00 PM - 9:00 PM (both days)
Hosted by School of Bhakti, at Bhaktivedanta Manor, UK
We are thrilled to invite you to our FIRST Bhakti Immersion Weekend Retreat, at the beautiful Bhaktivedanta Manor, a weekend designed to deepen your connection with Bhakti, no matter where you are on your spiritual journey.
Bhaktivedanta Manor, gifted by George Harrison in 1973, is nestled in the serene Hertfordshire countryside. It spans 78 acres of lush gardens, organic farmland, and sacred spaces—a living sanctuary where ancient Vedic tradition meets vibrant spiritual life.
It holds special significance for many spiritual seekers, including Radhika Das, as it is not only where his spiritual journey began, but also where his foundational connection to Bhakti was nurtured over many years of dedicated service and learning.
Saturday 9th August (3-9.30pm) – Immersive Bhakti Day Retreat
The first day of the retreat is a 6 hour immersive bhakti experience, offering an enriching blend of kirtans, a wisdom workshop, and interactive breakouts. With guidance from Radhika Das and Keshava Swami, the afternoon will offer you the space to reflect, reconnect, and realign with your spiritual path. Whether you're just beginning or have been practicing Bhakti for some time, this day is a perfect opportunity to deepen your understanding and experience.
A highlight of the day is a final ceremony that facilitates a strengthening of your bhakti practices. In a sacred space surrounded by a supportive community, this will offer you the chance to make a meaningful daily commitment to your bhakti practices (japa, reading of Vedic literature etc). It’s an invitation to anchor your inspiration and transform it into lasting dedication for 6 months or 1 year.
Why make a commitment on this day? We commit to so many things in life, from our careers to relationships. The date upon which our retreat is held is the perfect time to commit to your spiritual growth because it falls on "Balaram Jayanti," an auspicious day to seek the blessings from the embodiment of spiritual strength and joy. Whether you’re a seasoned practitioner or new to Bhakti, this ceremony is for anyone who feels ready to take that next step. It’s a wonderful chance to make a profound commitment in your life, surrounded by a community who are doing the same.
Don’t worry if you're unsure: It’s also perfectly fine if you choose not to actively participate in the ceremony. You can still join the retreat, observe and be part of the community, supporting others as they make their personal commitments. Your presence will be equally valuable!
Sunday 10th August (11.45am-9pm) – Full Day Kirtan Celebration
The retreat will continue on day 2 at 11.45am with a full day of kirtan. A joyous, musical, mantra meditation experience that calls us to connect with our inner selves through call-and-response chanting. On Sunday, we’ll be joined by a wide variety of talented kirtan facilitators, including Radhika Das, Keshava Swami and familiar faces in kirtan who will each lead the chanting of Krishna’s names.
Sunday is a free event, open to everyone, but please note that space is strictly limited, so your weekend ticket guarantees you access through a VIP entrance.
First time in Kirtan?
It’s a deep and often joyful, call-and-response form of musical meditation. Rooted in ancient tradition, it’s fast becoming a modern, uplifting way to reconnect with your inner self and the supreme. No previous experience, beliefs, or vocal skills required. All you need is an open heart and a willing voice.
Why Attend?
This weekend is not just a retreat, but a powerful opportunity for reflection, growth, and renewal. Whether you’re new to Bhakti or seeking to deepen your practice, this event is designed to offer you the space and support you need on your spiritual journey.
We invite you to join us for this transformative weekend, whether you choose to make a commitment or simply wish to deepen your connection to Bhakti within a vibrant, loving community.
