PANELISTS

  • Liza Rubinstein Malamud, Co-Founder and Chief Climate Impact Officer, Carbon Equity.

    • Carbon Equity enables private capital to invest in the world’s best climate private market funds. Liza leads the climate impact strategy, due diligence, and reporting of the platform; supports the development of climate investing standards in international committees (Project Frame, GIIN); and speaks and publishes frequently on the energy transition. Carbon Equity currently has €275M under management from more than 1,000 investors; has invested in 22 funds in Europe and North America — including Breakthrough Energy Ventures, Energy Impact Partners and Altor — and has supported the growth of 150+ climatetech companies.

  • Gijs van der Hulst, Founding Partner, Positron Ventures.

    • Gijs has been interested in science since a young age. After a detour in the corporate world he recently co-founded Positron Ventures, and helps and funds scientist-entrepreneurs who are pursuing moonshots for (planetary) health.

  • Charlie Macdonald, Investment Manager, Rubio Impact Ventures.

    • Charlie is an Investment Manager in the Planet team at Rubio, an impact venture capital fund focused on highly-scalable tech companies that solve our most pressing global problems. He is also an Ambassador for Climate Mosaic, an inclusive community for climate-focused founders, and a Mentor for the Carbon13 climate accelerator. Previously, Charlie worked in impact and climate VC at World Fund and Giant Leap

  • Austin Wood, Investment Manager, SET Ventures.

    • Austin is an Investment Manager at SET Ventures investing in digital energy technologies across Europe at the late Seed/Series A rounds. Previously, Austin played a key role in helping Wallbox scale from 100 to 1,400 employees raise over €100M in funding, acquire four companies, and IPO on the NYSE. He also managed the Smart Cities portfolio at Endeavor, an organisation that supports entrepreneurs around the world by connecting them with investors, mentors and talent.

  • Desirée Pettersson, Investor and Head of Impact, Satgana

    • Satgana is an early-stage Climate Tech VC investing in both Europe and Africa. Central to Satgana's long-term mission is building a bridge between Europe, known for its environmental stewardship and rapidly-developing Climate Tech VC ecosystem, and Africa, home to the world’s youngest and fastest-growing population with vast renewable energy potential and natural resources.
