About Event

Interested in startups and entrepreneurship but not sure where to begin?

Join us for GVL's Rapid Pitch Workshop, an interactive team-based competition designed to introduce key startup concepts in a fun, fast-paced environment!

Throughout the evening, you'll participate in three short, high-energy workshops covering idea generation, customer validation, and pitch creation. Teams will take a "silly problem" drawn from a hat and turn it into a winning pitch, with guidance and feedback from our mentors:

  • Alice Bellini: Go-to-market consultant with experience in customer validation and value proposition.

  • Janani Prabhakaran: Entrepreneurship graduate building Unbaggaged, featured on Dragon's Den 2024.

  • Dr Salisu Uba: Founder & CEO of NatQuest, leading in digital procurement and supply chain management.

This is your chance to:

  • Learn core entrepreneurial skills in a relaxed, creative environment.

  • Work with mentors to refine and improve your ideas.

  • Meet like-minded students and make new connections.

  • Test your pitching skills in a fast-paced "speed-dating" format.

The best pitches will present to everyone at the end, and a winner will be crowned! Pizza and soft drinks will be provided. Don't miss this opportunity to sharpen your entrepreneurial instincts and have fun in the process!

Agenda:

  • 5:30pm: Welcome, team formation, and problem draw

  • 6:00pm: Workshop: Customer validation

  • 6:20pm: Ideation phase

  • 6:30pm: Pitch building

  • 7:00pm: Speed-pitching with mentors

  • 7:30pm: Top 3 pitches present to all, winner chosen

  • 8:00pm: Official evening ends—pub anyone?
