About
Jonah Brucker-Cohen, Ph.D., is an award winning artist, researcher, and writer. He received his Ph.D. in the Disruptive Design Team of the Networking and Telecommunications Research Group (NTRG), Trinity College Dublin.
Derrick Shultz is an artist utilizing machine learning and other computational techniques to explore generative abstraction and computational filmmaking. In addition to creating his own work, Derrick also teaches machine learning to artists, designers, and image makers.
Weber Wong is a new media artist and the founder of FLORA, an infinite canvas creative AI sandbox. He is exploring what creative interfaces look like in a generative age, and how to build creative AI tools that maximize creative agency and control. He is also interested in the conceptual side of new media art, and the unique new artistic possibilities enabled by combining interactive & generative techniques. His own work often utilizes real-time AI in different contexts to explore some of these questions.
Jessica Garson is a creative technologist and senior developer advocate at Elastic. She makes music under the moniker, Messica Arson, combining modular synthesizers and live coding to create distinctive electrifying sounds, often incorporating samples of her own screams. She is currently exploring collaborations with the collective Visceral Realists, which recently played at the international conference on live coding in Shanghai, China, and in the duo SERIES Generative Works.
Reckoner, the solo project of experimental composer Sumanth Srinivasan, will perform a short set inspired by sci-fi and horror films. His approach combines the precision of computer music with the organic forms of alternative rock, trip-hop, and electronica, using live code to humanize rhythms and textures by systematically encoding imperfections. He draws inspiration from horror movie soundtracks, noise, post-rock, and electronic artists like Mica Levi, James Holden, and Talk Talk.
