About Event

First-time founders usually struggle to get into a Startup Accelerator program and often see them as a way to validate & fund their startup ideas. As part of the CMU T&E Startup School event series, this panel event provides future founders a guide to successfully getting accepted into a Startup Accelerator program.

About the Panel Speakers:

  1. Richard Zhang (https://www.linkedin.com/in/richardczhang/) is the Chief of Staff & Director of Accelerator at Pear VC. He is also a Healthcare AI Researcher at Massachusetts General Hospital and Co-founder of FAIL!. In the past, he was a Venture Associate at Pillar VC. He holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from MIT.

  2. Arman Hezarkhani, (https://www.linkedin.com/in/ahez/) is the CEO & Co-Founder at Parthean. Before Co-founding Parthean, he was CEO & Founder of Ahez Inc. COO & Co-Founder of Enkato, and 2x Developer Programs Engineering Intern with Google for Education. He graduated with a BS from ECE at CMU in 2019.

  • Iris Liu (https://www.linkedin.com/in/irieliu/) is a Vice Director at Draper Scouts, an Entrepreneur In Training at Menlo Ventures, and an Investor at 99 Tartans, CMU Angel syndicate. In the past, she was a Fellow with Portage Ventures, a VC Fellow with Pariti, and a Consultant with AWS & Deloitte. She is a current MBA candidate at the Wharton School and graduated with MS in Management Information Systems from CMU in 2016.
