βnatIgnite 2025 is a 40-hour in-person competition where teams of students and recent grads collaborate with Problem Providers to tackle real-world challenges in aging and caregiving.

βGet matched with a team with students and recent grads from tech, design, business, and health backgrounds
βWork on a real challenge pitched by your Problem Provider
βComplete three short progress check-ins before Hackathon Weekend
βBuild a working prototype using provided hardware and software

βπ Event Schedule
βSkill-Up Saturday (August 2): Get oriented, meet other participants, and learn key tools and skills
βPitch Day (August 3): Problem Providers pitch real-world challenges and teams form based on interest
βDevelopment Phase (August 3β7): Teams work with their Problem Providers to plan and begin development
βHackathon Weekend (August 8β10): Build your solution, test it, and pitch it to a panel of judges for feedback and funding

βA combined total of $10,000 in seed funding and in-kind support is available for the 3 winning teams.
βπΈ Hacker Fee
βTo confirm your spot at natIgnite 2025, there is a partially refundable $50 fee which is only charged upon acceptance.
β$25 covers your meals, materials, workspace, and other event costs.
β$25 is a refundable deposit returned to you after you participate fully (i.e., attend the pre-hackathon weekend, complete 3 short development reports with your team, and participate in the hackathon). This helps us make sure everyone who signs up is truly committed and contributes meaningfully to their team.

βWe want natIgnite to be accessible to everyone. A limited number of subsidies are available to waive the non-refundable $25 portion for participants with financial need. Please note:
βRequesting a subsidy does not guarantee approval
βYou may be asked to provide documentation of low income
βAll applications are reviewed individually, and decisions will be shared promptly
