About San Diego Green New Deal Alliance:
The San Diego Green New Deal Alliance is a coalition of 60+ local businesses, environmental, labor, social justice, and community-based organizations, in partnership with countless volunteers, dedicated to the fight for climate, jobs, and justice. Our vision is a San Diego region that achieves zero carbon by 2035 through a fair and just transition for workers and communities of concern, the creation of good family-sustaining union jobs, and the development of affordable, equitable, and inclusive communities powered by 100% clean, renewable energy.
About San Diego Solidarity Network:
The San Diego Solidarity Network is a regional coalition of nonprofit and mutual aid organizations, cultural workers, movement builders, policy advocates, and community leaders who believe that our communities deserve more—and that we are the ones best positioned to lead that future. We aim to achieve: 1) Secure rapid and sustained investments from government and philanthropy to stabilize and strengthen frontline and community-rooted organizations, 2) Build collective power and infrastructure that center racial justice, cultural wisdom, and grassroots leadership in public decision-making and funding systems, and 3) Establish and support community-led and shared leadership ways of working to equitably distribute monetary and non-monetary resources.
About Green Drinks:
San Diego Green Drinks (SDGD) is a monthly networking group for professionals or individuals interested in the sustainability field. We typically meet on the third Thursday of each month at a local bar to discuss different environmental issues with a speaker followed by open networking. These events are casual, drinking is optional, and anyone interested is encouraged to attend.
